Mingo Central graphic design class honored

The students of Doug Martin’s graphic design class at Mingo Central High School were recognized by the Mingo County Board of Education Tuesday evening for their contribution to the redesign of the West Virginia Department of Education Board Room. Having been requested specifically by the Department of Education to perform the design work, Mingo County Superintendent Don Spence said it validated the school’s reputation of having one of the top, if not the top, CTE programs in the state. “If this doesn’t suggest anything else, it speaks volumes about (Martin’s) and the school’s reputation ... it was an honor that they called the CTE class at Mingo Central and Mr. Martin to do this work,” Spence said.
