The Tug Valley Area CVB’s 2019 installment of Spookfest is now in the books and according to CVB Executive Director Wes Wilson it was a very successful event drawing several thousand participants. He said this year’s event had the largest turn-out of any Spookfest. “We absolutely loved all the amazing costumes and watching everybody having such a great time,” he said. “We love our community and hope to help create memories to last a lifetime.” CVB Vice President Tonya Webb agreed with him saying, “You guys amazed me with all the awesome costumes, the enthusiasm and just the overall spirit of community. To see families having fun and the pure joy on little ones’ faces makes it all worthwhile. We hope to make it even bigger and better next year with a few surprises to reveal.” The annual event was slated to be an outdoor event in downtown Williamson, but because of cooler temperatures, Spookfest was moved to the Williamson Field House.
