Large crowds turned out last Friday and Saturday for the 2019 Kermit Fall Festival. The long-running festival as usual began on Friday with the annual car show and culminated on Saturday with the yearly Autism 5K Walk and Run, parade, all-day music, food and craft vendors, inflatables, a gyro and train ride for kids and a first-ever ducky race on the Tug River sponsored by the Kermit Volunteer Fire Department. Saturday’s festivities also included a three-on-three basketball tournament, a corn hole competition and end-of-day entertainment by Soundtastics.
