“Bo” Doss Jr.

Dennis “Bo” Doss Jr., 56, of Wharncliffe, died Saturday, May 4, 2019, at his residence.

He was born at Welch, July 28, 1962, the son of Lennie Gibson Doss and the late Dennis Doss Sr.

He was a loving son, husband, father, brother and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Doss.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Doss; his daughter, Elisha Roach; his grandchildren, Kolton Doss and Alayna Doss; his brother, Karl Doss, all of Wharncliffe; and a host of other dear relatives and friends.

In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mounts Funeral Home, Inc., of Gilbert.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Diana Maxwell

Diana Maxwell, 72, of Matewan, died Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at her residence.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 28, 1946, the daughter of Emma Jane Jordan, of Columbus, Ohio, and the late Delmar Debo.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one son, Aaron Maxwell; one sister, Debbie Wallick; and four brothers, Darrell, Dennis, Rocky and Skip Debo.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by four sons, Troy Lowther (Bonnie), Jack Lowther (Aimee), Mick Maxwell (Betty) and Paul Maxwell; one daughter, Dianna Santo; and several grandchildren.

In honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chafin Funeral Home of Delbarton.

Linda Smith

Linda Faye Smith, 67, of Pinsonfork, Ky., died Thursday, May 23, 2019, at her sister’s residence at Turkey Creek, Kentucky.

She was born at Williamson, Dec. 30, 1951, the daughter of the late Lark Jones Jr. and Victoria “Bay” Hackney Jones.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Stone Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reaford Smith; her sister, Brenda Jones; and her brother, Jimmy Jones.

She is survived by her children, Misty Dawn Thacker, of Louisville, Ky., Victoria Scott (Timothy), of Williamson, and Corey Smith, of Williamson; her siblings, William Jones (Nadine), of Stone, Ky., Loretta Flores (Carlos), of Stone, Ky., Pat Webb, of Turkey Creek, Ky., Thelma Jones, of Tampa, Fla., Randall Jones, of Stone, Ky., and Anthony Jones (Edna), of Martin County, Ky.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other dear family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 26, 2019, at the R.E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel, Belfry, Ky., with Elizabeth Blanton officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Kentucky.
