Jessica Bowen, 23, of Louisa, Ky., died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019.

Jessica was born at Paintsville, Ky., May 8, 1996, the daughter of Johnny Bowen and Pearlie Gooslin.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Wesley Bowen, Loretha Dotson and Gary Gooslin.

She is survived by her father and step-mother, Johnny and Rachel Bowen; her mother, Pearlie Harmon; her grandmother, Anna Mae Bowen; her daughters, Patricia Lynn Anderson and Alaina Lynn Anderson; her brother, Johnny Wesley Bowen (Rachel); her sister, Adrianne Mounts; her step-brother, Dustyn Chambers; her nieces, Charlie and Charley; her nephews, Lukas and Chaiden; and her boyfriend and father of her precious daughters, Roger Anderson, and his parents, Patricia Anderson and William Coleman.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at the Young Funeral Home Chapel, Louisa, Ky., with Bro. Rudy Crockett officiating. Burial followed at the Chambers-Bowen Cemetery, Delbarton. Arrangements were under the direction of the Young Funeral Home of Louisa, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Young Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.

Linda Sue Dalton, 74, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, while a patient at the Good Shepherd Nursing Facility, Phelps, Kentucky.  

She was born at McAndrews, Ky., Feb. 15, 1945, the daughter of the late E.R. and Pauline Wellman Meadows.

She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Faith. She attended the Gospel House Church at Taylorville until her sickness prevented her from attending. She enjoyed singing for the Lord and always had a song.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two infant children; her granddaughter, Monica Contreras; and her brothers, Richard and Ira Meadows.  

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Burgess Dalton; her daughters, Teresa Belcher, Lisa Belcher and Annette Solorzano (Jesus), of Morton Grove, Ill.; her son, Dwayne Eddie Belcher (Susan), of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; her step-children, Faye White (George) and Ray Dalton; her sister, Wanda Faine; her brother, Paul Meadows (Katherine); a special aunt who was like a sister, Mildred Hammond; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Pooh Bear.  

She will be missed by everyone who knew her and loved her.  

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Haskel Runyon and Rev. Jason officiating. Burial will follow at the Justice/Tiller Cemetery, Delbarton, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chafin Funeral Home of Delbarton.

Brenda Carol Hensley, 72, of Turkey Creek, Ky., died Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at her residence, following a lingering illness.  

She was born at Whitesburg, Ky., Dec. 24, 1946, the daughter of the late Ellis and Mazie Pennington Adams.

She was a homemaker and member of the Salem Old Regular Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, George Allen Hensley; one grandson, George Allen Hensley II; and two brothers, Danny Adams and Babe Adams.

She is survived by her husband, George Hensley, of Turkey Creek, Ky.; 12 children, Ricky Hensley (Connie), of Stone, Ky., David Hensley (Sheila), of Lenore, Randy Hensley, of South Williamson, Ky, Eddie Hensley, of Turkey Creek, Ky., Shawn Hensley (Tammie), of Belfry, Ky., Mikey Hensley, of Turkey Creek, Ky., Calvin Hensley, of Parkersburg, Patty Diamond (Timmy), of Williamson, Tammy Edmiston (Alex), of Forest Hills, Ky., Sherry Anderson (Freddie), of Rockhouse, Ky., Misty Key (Charles), of Delbarton, and Haley Alexis Key, of Turkey Creek, Ky.; five brothers, Donnie Adams, of Louisa, Ky., and Dukie Adams, Mike Adams, William Adams and Dean Adams, all of Whitesburg, Ky.; two sisters, Lelah Dixon and Linda Boggs, both of Whitesburg, Ky.; 28 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at the Salem Old Regular

Baptist Church, Goody, Ky., with Elders Hobart Hamilton, Richard Staton and Elbert Sesco officiating. Burial followed at the Mt. View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky., with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Arrangements were under the direction of the Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Toler , Kentucky.

Hester Manns, 84, of Delbarton, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019, at her residence,

following a lingering illness.  

She was born at Paintsville, Ky., Aug. 30, 1935, the daughter of the late Kennis and Nancy McCoy.

She was a member of the Lenore High School Class of 1954 and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Vanessa Manns; two grandsons, Teddy Ray Conley and Mark Justin Hatfield; one great-granddaughter, Jonessa White; one great-grandson, Braydon Scott Manns; three brothers, Delmon McCoy (Olla Mae), Roscoe McCoy (Lee) and Harvey McCoy; and four sisters, Arbutus Curry, Cleo Hall (Tennis), Aloma Runyom (Don) and Velva Hall (Willie).

James  Maynard

James Kevin Maynard, 52, of Andersonville, Tenn., formerly of West Williamson, died unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at his residence.

He was born at Williamson, Feb. 18, 1967, he was the son of the late James L. Maynard Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Sellards Maynard Bates.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buster and Kathleen Maynard; a beloved aunt, Anita Sue Maynard; and his father-in-law, Nelson Hatfield.

He was reared in the west end neighborhood of Williamson. He attended Williamson schools and served as president of the Williamson High School graduating class of 1985. He was popular among his peers and he was widely known for his love of Mustangs. His passion for the Mustang was immovable throughout his life and he was an enthusiastic member of the Music City Mustang Club. He was also a member of the Smokey Mountain Jeep Club, an avid fan of the Nashville Predators Hockey team and also enjoyed hunting. He was retired from Lowe’s Companies, Inc.

He will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of life, his effervescent personality and his attention to detail with his personal appearance and his vehicles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, the former Rhonda Hatfield; a beloved daughter, Jessica Keryn Maynard; two brothers, Michael Maynard (Linda) and Jerry Maynard (Anne); his mother-in-law, Shirley Hatfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Michelle Hatfield; his nieces and nephews, Katie Maynard, Alex Maynard, Jarrod Maynard, Jacob Maynard, Billie Rogers, Katrina Rogers, Jacob Hatfield, Mason Hatfield and Sophie Hatfield; his furry baby, Jaxx; and a host of friends, all of whom were very special to him.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, at Weaver Mortuary, West Williamson, with John Copley officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, with family members and friends serving as pallbearers. Arrangements are under the direction of Weaver Mortuary of West Williamson.

David Mollett

David Joe Mollett, 48, of Williamson, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, at the Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, Kentucky.  

He was born at Williamson, Dec. 19, 1970, to the late Elmer and Elsie Sammons Mollett.

He loved his family and spent most of his life caring for all of them. He especially loved his nieces and nephews. They were the light of his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ira Evans; his brother, Elmer Mollett Jr.; his sister, Sarah Mollett; his sister-in-law, Susie Mollett; his great-niece, Samantha Dingess; and his nephew, Brian Robinette.

He is survived by his loving pets, Diesel and Chewy; his brother, James Ray Mollett (Gale), of Warfield, Ky.; his sisters, Linda Sue Wilson (Larry), of Williamson, Margie Robinette (Johnny), of Louisa, Ky., Mae Evans, of Florence, Ky., Ethel Hatfield (Charlie), of Cherryville, N.Car., Julia Mollett and Wanda Mollett, both of Williamson, and Amber Bentley (Sanford), of Lexington, Ky.; and a host of nieces and nephews, whom he dearly loved and spoiled.

Although he was here for just a short time, he will always be remembered in the hearts of his family.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at The River Ministries, Vinson Street, Williamson, with Pastor Jonathon Robinette officiating. Burial followed at the Jake Perry Cemetery, Beauty, Ky., with his nephews serving as pallbearers. Arrangements were under the direction of the Chafin Funeral Home of Delbarton.

Kathy Ann Stafford, 66, of Tug Fork Apartments, Belfry, Ky., died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at her residence.  

She was born at Williamson, April 22, 1953, the daughter of the late Leonard E. and Joyce Stafford Hensley.

She graduated from Marshall University where she obtained her Associates Degree.  She was a former medical clerk at Logan Regional Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Hensley.

She is survived by her daughter, Johnna Stafford, of Kimper, Ky.; a brother, Christopher Hensley, of Maher; two sisters, Robin Chafins, of Belfry, Ky., and Jocelyn Williamson, of South Williamson, Ky.; two grandchildren, Kelton Crank and Brayleigh Holbrook; a special niece, Chanah Williamson; a special nephew, Chad Gibson; a very special friend, Mary Cassel, of Belfry, Ky.; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019, at the Hensley Cemetery, Maher, with Bro. Matthew Martin officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Toler, Kentucky.
