Who: Phelps at Tug Valley (2-0)

Kickoff: Friday, Sept. 14, 7:30 p.m.

Location: Panther Field.

Coaches: Tug Valley, Tony Clusky. Phelps, David Jones.

Notes: Tug Valley was on its bye week last night, while Phelps visited Jackson County.

Both Tug Valley and Phelps had impressive shutout wins in their first two games this season.

The Panthers dominated Hannan and Sherman, while Phelps cruised past East Ridge and Sheldon Clark.

Tug Valley racked up 467 total yards of offense against Hannan, while holding Hannan to just 21 total yards of offense.

Phelps’ defense was just as impressive holding East Ridge to just 34 total yards of offense.

Last week, Jonathan Stepped stepped up to lead the Panther rushing attack. He had a team-high 133 yards and two TDs on 11 carries.

Quarterback Tyler Chaffin had a good game as well. Chaffin was four of six passing for 93 yards and two TDs. Chaffin also added 33 yards rushing and three TDs.

Who 2 Watch: For Phelps, the defense. For Tug Valley, quarterback Tyler Chaffin.

The Phelps defense will face its toughest task of the season against Tug Valley.

The Hornets will have to limit Tug Valley’s run game, but also deal with the threat of Chaffin’s throwing ability.

Chaffin’s play will be critical for the Panthers.

Chaffin’s ability to throw the ball might be the difference for the Panthers.

Chaffin has a strong run game to take pressure off and he will have opportunities to throw the ball.

If Chaffin can have a good game, the Panthers may leave Phelps with a win.
