Citing a recent rise in both infection and positivity rates in Mingo County and the importance of continued vaccination vigilance, health officials will again be conducting two vaccination clinics this week Williamson and Kermit.

According to Mingo County Health Department Administrator Keith Blankenship, the Mingo County Vaccination Coalition will be sponsoring clinics at the Williamson Health and Wellness tent on Second Avenue today, March30, from 5 p. m. to 7 p. m.

The second opportunity, Blankenship said, will be in East Kermit at Kermit PK-8 on Friday, April 2, from 10 a. m. to 3 p. m.

Blankenship said both events are open to all individuals 18 years of age and older and that no appointment is required.

He said COVID-19 testing sites and their hours of operation are as follows:

· Hurley Drug Company in Williamson—Monday through Friday, from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m.

· Williamson Health and Wellness Center in Williamson—Sundays at different locations in the county such as Parsley Bottom Freewill Baptist Church at Lenore and Little Dove Baptist Church at Belo; Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. at the downtown Williamson location.

· Kermit Town Hall parking lot/Kermit VFD building—Tuesdays, from 3 p. m. to 7 p. m.

· Larry Joe Harless Community Center in Gilbert—Wednesdays, from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m.
