Facing Hunger Food Bank will join community representatives to announce new initiatives and its collaboration with the Williamson Health and Wellness Center to better serve Mingo County residents. The new partnership will give attention to health, wellness and economic development.
A press conference will be conducted Tuesday, Oct. 12, on the Williamson campus of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. The event will be followed by a produce distribution featuring West Virginia grown products.
Speakers at the press conference will include Southern President Dr. Pamela Alderman, Williamson Mayor Charels Hatfield, Delegates Nathan Brown and Mark Dean and Sen. Mark Maynard.
The food distribution will begin at approximately 1:30 p.m. and will continue until 3:30 p.m. as supplies last.
