Burch PK-8 Principal Leah Wireman recently announced Sondra Woods and Margie Merritt, respectively, have been selected as the school's teacher of the year and service person of the year. Woods is a 5th grade teacher who "takes special interest in her students, volunteers when needed, and maintains the school website." In addition to her duties as a classroom aide, Merritt also makes home visits and meal deliveries twice a week.
