West End Drive-In

Jim Pajarillo directs traffic as the parking lot of the new West End Drive-In fills quickly. The drive-in is a new event by the Tug Valley Area CVB  held Saturday night was met with success. Executive Director Wes Wilson said the CVB is hoping to have drive-in movies about every two weeks. The inaugural presentation for the drive-in theater was Bettlejuice. The next event is scheduled for Sept. 19, however, the name of that film has not been released as of presstime because licensing agreements have not been finalized. The theater is located on the parking lot of the former Moore Ford car sales. Tickets for the Labor Day Weekend show sold out in two days. A small concession stand was set up with soft drinks, popcorn and candy. Strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines were followed during the event including the number of tickets available for purchase was limited.
